Harvest - Advanced Lot Traceability for Food- End User Guide

Purpose

The Advanced Lot Traceability for Food module brings powerful, flexible lot number assignment , enabling food and beverage processors to apply structured, traceable lot numbers without relying on rigid number series. Built on proven functionality from the Harvest Bakery App, this enhanced solution dynamically assembles lot numbers using user-defined logic—tailored to production, procurement, and warehouse operations.

Define Default No. Seiries

  1. Search for "Lot Traceability Definition Setup" and assign a default number series. This will be used when creating new definitions.

Create Lot Traceability Definitions

1. Search for "Lot Traceability Definitions", select New, and create a new record.

2. Enter or tab off the Lot Traceability Definition No. to auto-assign using the default number series. Provide a meaningful description.

3. Configure the elements used to build the lot number. You must use at least one element, but can combine multiple types and reuse types if needed.

EXPIRATIONDATE – Embed the Expiration into the lot no.

FIXEDVALUE – Hard code the value into the lot

ITEMNO – Embed item No. into the lot no.

LOCATIONCODE – Embed the location code from the document line into the lot no.

NOSERIES – Embed a Number Series into the Lot No.
